HOW WE TESTED

Over the course of a month-long testing period, we selected these AC Under 50000 based on the different criteria.

These Are Top And Best AC Under 50000 In India 2024

  • Blue Star IA518FLUAir Conditioner
  • LG ‎PS-Q24HNXE Air Conditioner
  • Panasonic ‎‎‎CS/CU-NU24XKYWA Air Conditioner
  • Daikin ‎FTKM50U Air Conditioner
  • LG ‎‎PS-Q19YNZE Air Conditioner

5. Blue Star IA518FLUAir Conditioner

In position 5, we have listed Blue Star IA518FLU.

Even with the compressor running and the fan high, it’s still quieter than the average conversation or any other AC that we’ve tested. This 5 star energy rating and inverter compressor air conditioner is really energy saver.

We installed this air conditioner in a 13×13 bedroom, during our testing. It chills the entire room in just 10 minutes. These results are more than we expected from this AC. It’s almost as quiet as others, too, with an average volume of about 48 decibels, making it essentially unnoticeable in the room unless the fan is on high.

In our tests, this maintained an even more impressive cooling consistency across the room. We especially liked its 4-in-1 convertible cooling modes. In addition, the AC got Self Diagnosis feature too.

Drawbacks:

4. LG ‎PS-Q24HNXE Air Conditioner

Next in our list is LG ‎‎‎PS-Q24HNXE.

This air conditioner is found to be one of the most energy efficient, we have tested. For a hall which is big, it is cooling very well and very effective. In our testing, it cooled 190sq within 25 minutes. We can say that it is quite fast. Its filter comes along with anti-virus protection.

We loved its 6-in-1 convertible cooling. On the other hand, the 4 way swing is really helpful. For more information, you can read out the user manual which comes with this air conditioner. You will also get stabilise free operation, so we can say that there is no need for any external stabiliser.

The outdoor unit of the air conditioner is not very loud but it emits a high pitched sound that is clearly audible so if you’re near the balcony or window outside which it’s kept, you’ll be disturbed only to some extent. Other features we found useful and helpful in this AC are Smart Diagnosis System, Magic Display, Monsoon Comfort, Self Diagnosis.

Drawbacks:

3. Panasonic ‎‎‎CS/CU-NU24XKYWA Air Conditioner

In our list, at position 3 comes Panasonic ‎‎CS/CU-NU24WKYWA.

Being equipped with an inverter compressor and 2 ton load, this air conditioner provided matchless performance along with silent operation, during our testing. The cooling is just superb! We installed this 2 ton 5-star AC in a hall measuring 23 ft x 12 ft, i.e. 276 sq. ft. and it cools the hall very quickly within 5-10 mins, in our tests.

We like that the connected device is compatible with voice commands from Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. In fact, you can also control it via a smartphone app or its surprisingly sleek, bundled remote control. These provide full control over the AC anytime anywhere.

In reality, it doesn’t feel flimsy at all, looks very sturdy. We can say that the remote is cute, a tiny thing even lights up! Some other qualities of this AC our testers loved are PM 2.5 filter, smart diagnosis and stabilizer free operation.

Drawbacks:

2. Daikin ‎FTKM50U Air Conditioner

Here is the runner up of the list, Daikin ‎FTKM50U.

The cooling is excellent and within 15 minutes you can feel the chills even in the large sized room up to 150 sq. ft.. We can say that the fan speed and throw is excellent. We loved that there is no stabilizer required for the operation of this AC. In addition, it comes with different modes as with other AC’s.

It is super silent. When we set the temperature to 26 degrees Celsius we often look at the AC to make sure it is working, during our tests. That is how silent it is. Outdoor unit is pretty silent too. We also loved the build quality of the remote along with this AC. Also, it has triple display.

Dew clean technology cleaned the indoor unit coil with a press of button, during our testing. Overall, our testers loved this product. We think that there are less chances of any type of reliability issues with this one. Owner history of this air conditioner also suggests the same.

Drawbacks:

1. LG ‎‎PS-Q19YNZE Air Conditioner

Wait is over, position 1 is taken by LG ‎‎PS-Q19YNZE in our list.

We can say that this is one of the quietest air conditioners we’ve ever tested, but that isn’t the only reason it stands out from the crowd. It also has an inverter compressor, which means it uses less energy as compared to the non-inverter ACs.

Moreover, it is AI convertible 6 in 1 AC. Also its filter comes along with anti-virus protection. Power consumption recorded for 1 week with temp setting at 24 degrees Celsius for 10 hours was approximate 3 units per day, during our testing.

There are 5 different fan modes and with 5th settings it only consumes 35 – 40 watts and with 3rd setting it was around 20 watts. With low fan mode it’ll be around 10 – 15 watts only, as we found, during our testing. Apart from many features, this AC has 4 way swing and that can be controlled as desired.

Design is good , plain white with a display for temperature and other settings. This air conditioner produces the lowest sound in the class, super silent. Even the outdoor unit is quite silent.
